The Most Important Smart Device Features We Need

We don’t always get what we wish for but we can hope for that to change with time. Take your smart devices; for instance, they are hardly ever perfect. These smart devices may range from smartphones and tablets to smartwatches and virtual reality equipment. Here are the some of the most important smart device features that could make our smart devices better than ever.

Important Smart Device Features

Modularity

The likes of Google seem to be toying with the idea of modular smartphones with such assignments as Project Ara. This makes all the sense in the world as people would much rather prefer to replace their smartphone’s damaged screen with a spare part for a nominal amount rather than squandering hundreds of bucks on repair. Besides, it allows users to tailor their smartphone as per their own choice since they can buy different parts of the phone, separately.

Durability

Remember the time when Nokia 3310 used to be the most durable phone? Well, it was far from being a  smartphone but durability is surely one of the most important smart device features that are missed. How many times do we happen to drop our smartphones, severely damaging the hardware in the process in some cases? It would be nice to have a smart device that you can not only use for all its primary features and also a punching bag on which you can vent your frustration from time to time.

Battery life

Device manufacturers seem hell bent on making their products thinner and thinner with each iteration. Sure, none likes an insanely bulky smartphone that fails to fit your pockets but it seems senseless to sacrifice battery in an attempt to put the smartphone on a diet. It does not take a genius to figure that a longer battery life would allow users to operate that smart device for longer periods of time. Let’s be honest, battery anxiety is quite the issue of this generation that yearns to be connected.

Connectivity

Smart connectivity is also a feature that is sorely missed. It makes sense that features such as WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and LTE are automatically switched off when they are not in use. Not only does this conserve battery but also lots of processing power that goes into the running of such important smart device features.

Cloud integration

When it comes to the most important smart device features, seamless cloud integration is also one that deserves a mention. Going offline should not result in  excruciatingly long waiting periods. Instead, the transition should be smooth as silk without any bugs and crashes. Plus, there needs to be a case for an offline mode so that your stuff is accessible without the need for an internet connection.
